Are we sure it is this tender that was awarded? As there was a 2nd tender out for the 133 which was the same Timetable as current RE: Cumfybus - iMarkeh - 22/02/2019 17:56 (22/02/2019 15:14)T42 PVM Wrote: Are we sure it is this tender that was awarded? As there was a 2nd tender out for the 133 which was the same Timetable as current This is a very interesting contract. It stipulates a MINIMUM of every 120 minutes with a MINIMUM capacity of 45+1. Unless a full-sized bus is used on a two-hourly frequency it would have to be two 23-seaters hourly. We shall see what prevails but if it goes to every two hours I fear that it will be doomed leaving several isolated areas without any bus service. RE: Cumfybus - T42 PVM - 24/02/2019 13:02 Cumfybus Bolton is no more from Thursday, From my understanding Tyrers are taking over the routes and drivers have a job, No mention on Buses as of yet. My guess is that 4 TfGM ones will be kept with possibly the Cumfy fleet going to Merseyside RE: Cumfybus - iMarkeh - 24/02/2019 13:40 Interesting given tyrers don't do local service work really bar the Chorley Local. Could this spark Tyrers interest in doing more local service work or do they know the routes will likely be lost when they get retendered. Won’t be long before there isn’t any independents left I think RE: Cumfybus - MPTE1955 - 24/02/2019 15:03 Cumfybus seems to be getting less and less work, I would certainly be worried if I was an employee of their's. Independents getting killed off one by one it seems. |
