RE: Virgin Trains - wirralbus - 29/07/2015 12:30 To be honest all of the Pendolino's should have been extended to 11 coaches but Virgin and DfT couldn't get that , so we are left with the situation where there is a mixed 9 and 11 car fleet , makes for an interesting time in Virgin Trains Control Center in times of service disruption. There was an incident involving a Virgin Train near Winsford yesterday afternoon RE: Virgin Trains - SandyDrew - 20/11/2015 13:33 It was publicised as a line side fire - causing delays through Crewe / Warrington. There was a southbound journey running 90 minutes late at one point. Usual knock effects with staff out of place, cancelled on board catering etc to attempt rescue of some timetables. RE: Virgin Trains - wirralbus - 03/12/2015 20:55 Services are meeting with considerable disruption due to heavy rain flooding the tracks in the Lockerbie area this is causing delays of up to 90 minutes . Some services are being replaced by coaches to maintain some integrity in the timetable and to enable the service to probably start up in a fit state tomorrow . |
