Lots of complaints about overcrowding on single deckers. Hopefully with extra deckers and the slight reduced service on 60rd to help with driver shortage, all trips will operate and help prevent overcrowding too.

I'm not disputing the overcrowding but it's hard to understand why Bootle give the 62 and 63 majority or full decker allocations while the 52 and 52A regularly gets single deckers. Even with the four extra Enviro400s there's still single deckers on the 52 and 52A today. Those routes need the deckers far more than the 62 and 63 in my opinion

Several are going to Arriva North East with another transferring to Runcorn

First StreetDeck on a 13 today at Tuebrook. Didn’t catch the fleet number.

They can operate on other routes as the next stop audio is only programmed for the 14/10b

I agree. The depot situation isn't ideal so sometimes there's limited deckers available to be allocated out at one time. But there are some trips on 62/63 that have a full standing load, not necessarily the same board for the morning and afternoon so a few boards need the deckers.

The 63 is a half-hourly service that serves several schools and certainly requires deckers during term time. Unlike the 52/52A, it does not run alongside alternative services along large sections of its route. If a single-deck 63 goes past full there is a 30-minute wait for the next bus.
