In Liverpool Area the kids I see on the routes that I use just get a normal service bus and either pay the driver or have passes. RE: ACE Travel - T42 PVM - 06/06/2013 07:56 must go from green lane - queens drive as a 10/10A looking at route map then, good idea by ace travel as thats a key area where a new service is needed but if it was me i would of done 2 services as a circular (like 26/27) service 24 liverpool - tuebrook - old swan - kensington - liverpool service 25 liverpool - kensington - old swan - tuebrook - liverpool i personly think that would take huge advantage of lack of servies down both roads RE: ACE Travel - T42 PVM - 06/06/2013 07:58 (06/06/2013 07:53)MPTE1955 Wrote:(06/06/2013 07:23)bolton bus basher Wrote: at my school you was given school buses (costing about 50p while i was in year 7 but probs be more now as that was almost 8 year ago as i never used them) and if the school buses was no good for you then you had to pay your way to school on normal service buses or walk it years 7 and 8 i lived near the school so i used walk it year 9,10 and 11 i got the train from thatto heath to st helens then walked it from there as it was cheaper to do that than get a school bus (yes shocked me as well) RE: ACE Travel - T42 PVM - 06/06/2013 07:59 (06/06/2013 07:53)MPTE1955 Wrote:(06/06/2013 07:23)bolton bus basher Wrote: at my school you was given school buses (costing about 50p while i was in year 7 but probs be more now as that was almost 8 year ago as i never used them) and if the school buses was no good for you then you had to pay your way to school on normal service buses or walk it years 7 and 8 i lived near the school so i used walk it year 9,10 and 11 i got the train from thatto heath to st helens then walked it from there as it was cheaper to do that than get a school bus (yes shocked me as well) RE: ACE Travel - CX54 DKD - 06/06/2013 09:34 The school busses are only standard Merseytravel fare as they're just Merseytravel tenders. This is correct - I've only driven one 'school bus' so far (route 663 (St John Bosco - Stockbridge)) but standard Merseytravel fares apply on them, thus children pay 50p! RE: ACE Travel - CX54 DKD - 06/06/2013 16:09 And Sixth formers £1.20. Causes a lot of complaints as kids move up into the sixth form each year here! RE: ACE Travel - dave4jackie - 06/06/2013 18:40 saw a preserved double decker in the ace depot today anybody any idea what it could be please RE: ACE Travel - Raawwwrrr! - 06/06/2013 19:34 (06/06/2013 16:09)CX54 DKD Wrote: And Sixth formers £1.20. Driver's don't really care tbh RE: ACE Travel - Raawwwrrr! - 06/06/2013 19:40 (06/06/2013 07:56)bolton bus basher Wrote: good idea by ace travel as thats a key area where a new service is needed but if it was me i would of done 2 services as a circular (like 26/27) TBH its an idea with low fare paying patronage, to an area of which most people will have Arriva weekly tickets, and your also competing with a QBP route from Queen Square to Old Swan. They would have been better commercialising a route like the 201, and running it every 30 minutes (PVR 3). This service can get an average loading on a good day, far better than the 11's I saw earlier today. |
