The Pendolino's that will operate on the line will not call at any intermediate Stations between Blackpool and Preston due to Platform lengths , this is due to the Pendolino's not being fitted with SDO (Selective Door Opening).

It has been reported that 08790 is to move from Longsight to Edge Hill. The shunter requirement at Edge Hill is due to the increased activity from the new timetable.

I noted 08790 on a low loader in Wavertree High Street just before 1200 today heading ror Edge Hill Depot.

It was outside the long shed on Thursday, but nothing on RTT to suggest any extra activity at Edge Hill.

A pendolino booked on test to Blackpool on Monday night - I've not seen any confirmation of the date of energisation, or any visits by Northern emu.s.

390152 reported to have done three trips - the last a VSTP, but presumably a success as Virgin issued a press release this morning.
