RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - tinytears87 - 09/10/2012 12:04 Yeah, constant turning ! haha ! :-) RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - St Helens Rider - 09/10/2012 12:18 One of the longest routes within Merseyside has to be the 137/138 taking around 1 hour and 40 minutes in either direction. Also the 139 when doing full route to St Helens clocks in a 1 hour 32 minutes one way and 1 hour 35 minutes the other. RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - TenaciousJ - 09/10/2012 12:58 I know it's a bit pedantic but wouldn't the 89A technically be longer than the 89 seen as it does that extra stint to LJLA? :P RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - MTL0201 - 09/10/2012 13:17 (09/10/2012 10:54)tinytears87 Wrote: The 89 from St Helens to JLA is approx 16.5 miles. 48/48A Liverpool-Southport is longer at 21 miles RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - First Class - 09/10/2012 13:56 Wasn't there a short lived JL Airport-Southport 48A? I imagine that had a good few miles on it. RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - MPTE1955 - 09/10/2012 14:14 Yes there was, and then there was the 217 Halewood-Liverpool City Centre that was also a very long journey. RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - moreton407 - 09/10/2012 15:36 What about when the 418/419 went to/from Cheshire Oaks? RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - Nicholas - 09/10/2012 15:43 Possibly cheating, but could you include the National Express 060 to Leeds via Manchester given it is possible to pay on boarding, thus making it a stage carriage service? Is it a registered bus service with VOSA? Even so, it is 30-35 miles long, which is probably still shorter than the 811/817 routes. RE: Longest route in/through Merseyside? - Nicholas - 09/10/2012 17:57 It most certainly is registered - and its more like 77 miles long (even longer in the evening when some journeys run via Manchester Airport and Bradford)! |
