Freightliner have purchased three Class 86 for spares only. These are 86229 and 86251 from Long Marston and 86901 from Booths, Rotherham.

With the line closed between Crewe and Wilmslow from 13 to 23 February for engineering Freightliner Intermodal services are being diverted between Colwich and Cheadle Junction via Stone and Stoke-on-Trent. Yesterday morning I noted an Intermodal in the loop north of Stoke Station awaiting a path to Trafford Park.

70006 was Speeding South through Wigan Northwestern at 11:07 did this take the Euston train path as the Euston train was 10 late??

It would not be a problem if it did as it could be put inside at Winwick Junction, Acton Bridge or Winsford.
