First Manchester have said this on twitter regarding Maytree https://twitter.com/FirstManchester/status/319954604848738304

Thing is im guessing most of their staff have been asked to leave First in the past. It is rare people dont start their career with a big gun

Like with any takeover there is a period of what is known as "due diligance" were the interested party wishing to acquire the business will send in auditors/accountants to assess the viability of the operation, sadly in this case it's seems MCT did not want to proceed as the process must have found something.

MCT have acted in their best interests to not proceed I think that speaks for itself, it is sadly the staff who now have no jobs/income that we should be feeling sorry for.

Considering MCT themselves take over quite a number of tenders next week and are due some brand new Hybrid's sometime in the summer I was wondering in the meantime could they use the Hybrids that Maytree operated or will the Hybrids go to whoever gets the Maytree routes

Also where will TfGM be storing the former Maytree Hybrids as there not at Maytree's Depot

The hybrids follow specific contracts so they will follow to who ever gets a contract that the hybrids where bought for.

rossendale confirmed this morning that they have won the 273 on emergancy tender, talk about no messing around, i do expect arriva to win the 715 tender as before maytree had it the service was run by arriva and before them blue bus, the 576 will probs be started by SLT a bit more early

TfGM have said on Twitter that all school buses services previously operated by Maytree will operate after replacement operators have been found. Also say that most services will operate 'in the immediate future'.

According to an slt driver they wont get any as they have been told there not allowed anymore contracts off tfgm for the time being.

RE: Maytree Travel - Bolton - T42 PVM - 05/04/2013 10:11

that leaves only arriva and first then unless JPT go in for the 31

RE: Maytree Travel - Bolton - T42 PVM - 05/04/2013 10:32

apparently the 95 and 31 will be ran from queens road, bolton has apparently got 512/513 and most if not all the lates, let me point out that only the 273 is confirmed nothing else
