There are eleven hybrid Solos altogether. Nice have entered service so far - those are YJ12 GXA, YJ12 GXB, YJ12 GXC, YJ12 GXD, YJ12 GXE, YJ12 GXF, YJ12 GXF, YJ12 GXG, YJ12 GXH and YJ12 GXN. (Credit to "Alan Sansbury" on Flickr for seven of those photos; the other two belong to myself.) The two that haven't entered service so far are YJ12 GXK and YJ12 GXL. (Credit to "gcbp" on Flickr for those two photos.)

Hi All,

There is also a YJ12 GXM however I don't think this has yet been delivered

YJ12 GXJ I believe doesn't exist, a check on DVLA shows it as not registered!

DVLA shows a YJ12 GXO does exist (and it is an Optare Solo, in yellow, 4250cc engine) however I don't recall seeing any photos of that one at all.

YJ12 GXP/R do exist but they are they two long Solos at HTL Buses!

Did everything run well anything intresting on the last night of Cumfybus operating the 130/210/241 and 250?

As far as I have been able to deduce, DVLA appear to routinely withhold any registration mark where the second letter and the last letter are the same.

I can only presume that this is because they are a popular choice as personalised plates, either representing the initials of the owner twice (with and without the middle initial), or else those of a husband and wife (having the same surname).

(Of course, if I have hit upon the correct explanation, then I imagine demand for this particular example will be low, since it would require someone to have a middle name beginning with X!)

Was sat outside the red house pub on foxhouse lane on sat night having a few pints and observed the following go past on the 210
MX53FDU
MX06YYA
MX08DHG
All 3 were running about 5 to 10 mins late according to the times on the bus stops.

RE: Cumfybus - P450 SWX - 13/08/2012 07:12

Just realise Saturday was the last day of Cumfybus doing the followinf routes
154 Prenton Circular
155 Tranmere Circular

The last Cumfybus Bus used on this was the same used on the first day of Cumfybus having the route this bus being MX08 DJE

I hopw this is of help to some people

There's always the possibility someone with the initials 'YJG' may want it for their new Jaguar XJ limousineWink

RE: Cumfybus - buses7675 - 13/08/2012 16:31

I was thinking the very same earlier Dave!

I've checked loads of plates and this seems to be true, the second letter in any 'new' registration is never the same as the final one. Examples of this are there being no YJ12 GXJ at Cumfy, no YJ12 GZJ at HTL, no KX59 CWX at HTL/Dawsons, no Arriva CX/MX registrations end in X either!

On a different note, a few odd workings today at Cumfybus were of Solo M710SE MX08 DHL on the 139 along with Cummins engine Solo M950 MX04 VLU.
