Due to bus and non-bus interests I plan to come on a weekday in October to ride them.

The longer single deckers can go pretty much anywhere, but apart from school/contract services, best bets are services 16/16A/20/21, sometimes 17s, and the 19 departing Warrington at 10:02 (it runs off a contract service), as well as the 4 departing Warrington at 14:55 (it runs onto a contract service).

The £2 adult fare cap and £1 fare cap for under-22s is now set to continue until at least the end of 2025:

What will happen if the PVR changes at WOB, given they've ordered a certain number of electric vehicles and want to offload all diesels?

I think the cutting back of the Warrington to Altrincham service wasn't expected, neither was them talking on a former Arriva Northwich local service. The school and college contracts are also a bit unpredictable.

A bizarre side effect of the Warrington £2 bus cap, is it means £2 single fares on the N4 Northwich to Barnton. That kind of makes sense as it wouldn't make sense for travel on the N4 to cost more than the 9A, when there's overlap between the two routes. However, it means a Northwich single is £2 on a WOB route, but it's £3 on a D&G route.

2001 tracked on the N3 earlier, but 238 is showing as operating the last 2 journeys. Would be an interesting allocation for them to send an electric decker to Northwich, then switch it for an Enviro. Of course it could be a switched machine, that was corrected to be the right vehicle.

On a different point a letter shared on social media says Warrington college are withdrawing free buses for their designated buses next year. However, an exception will be made for those living in the Lymm area who'll get a bus pass, but it will be for normal WOB services (presumably with a change of bus), as the WVR7 is being withdrawn. The other routes WVR will remain.

Edit: The times of the 13 include a surprise!

Bus 9001 is now finally in service.

Sometimes the 5A seems to get deckers now.

There have also been runs tracking on MAN2 since the timetable change.

The last Volvo B7RLE left at Warrington (except the trainers) that being DK09EMX (93) departed to PVS Barnsley this morning

Following that i took MM14 DWU (237) to Ensign Bus also so that is no longer part of the fleet.

Shame they didn't go on for further use, believe 84 is being used as a trainer in East Yorkshire though
