What Stagecoach should be looking at (and not easy unless an extra vehicle can be drafted in) is a "dropback" in Preston as soon as it can be fitted into the crew schedules. Longer term, they would want/need to identify exactly which bits of the timetable are tight and re-register accordingly.

From what as already been posted the Stagecoach route, is different to what Fishwick, use to take.

It wasn't possible to continue the Fishwick route - it started/ended within their depot.
The stagecoach route heads up the bypass then as a circular so as not to miss the existing residential stops around Earnshaw Bridge. There are a couple of stops on golden hill lane that couldn't be continued due to start/end layout.

Could a stop not be put up outside the old fishwick depot to keep the old route?

Has anyone taken on any of the other fishwick routes

The Runshaw College contracts have been taken by Tyrer's and Redline.

The 109 and 119 are mainly covered by Stagecoach's version of the 109 (109 and 109A). The 115 has not been replaced on Monday to Friday when it was run by Fishwick's but ironically the Saturday service has been run under an LCC contract by Stagecoach, so this route has a Saturday service but none on Monday to Friday when you would expect it to be needed more!

Trident/ALX400 18158 made an appearance on the X2 this afternoon.

Could this feed be re-named Stagecoach Preston and Chorley Outstation since the main Chorley Depot has now gone?

RE: Stagecoach - Preston and Chorley Depots - mbonwick - 14/11/2015 13:05

Should just be renamed Stagecoach - Preston Depot really, no other outstation gets a mention in thread titles. And it's not as though there are particularly many services operated from Chorley anyway....

I have updated the thread title as requested

The Chorley garage has been intermittently used (maintenance bay for a rubbed down scania as well as prep work on the gold DDs this week).

The poor 111 is still finding its feet, more Preston traffic chaos today not helping. (Or any other route really)
Customers sound more appreciative for a continued service and lower fares, than the frustration of buses turning up in 2's and even 3's. Overhearing customers patiently explain to each other that the new drivers have been drafted in from out of the area, and getting to grips with the route.

Also the fact that timings are still essentially those that Fishwick's were running to - I'd imagine there's a proper timetable change in the planning, which was not possible to implement under the short notice registration.
