Looking at the route map for Penwortham it'll follow the Vision 115 route from the station towards Marshalls Brow, but not turning onto Hill Road South, meaning it'll run along a short section that doesn't currently have a bus service, before making the loop around Kingsfold that duplicates the Stagecoach 3 route.
I wonder if Preston Bus are considering adding a new bus stop in, which could add some value for passengers?
I also wonder how those on Kingsfold will react to it? At school starting and finishing times it won't attract the high number of schoolkids the 3 route attracts. But the 3 provides a link from Kingsfold to Tesco, which is useful for shoppers.
Another thing is what use is that cross-city link? It doesn't serve the university, the hospital or Preston College. So is there another reason why it might attract cross-city journeys?
