I'm not a great lover of the Pratico seats, but at least on these they've worn in well unlike the Stagecoach Enviros where they are as stiff as a board. Their interiors are nice, but with P&P they would look superb. Exactly with the X-OBNS you have to make sure that you get the right seat and they are fine, I had 2263 on the 61 last week and didnt have comfort issues as I chose the correct seat. The problems with legroom comes when you get on one where you dont have a lot of choice on where to sit. With the T-PNB's and the Marshalls well the T reg ones are the same age and V reg are still not far behind being in the same 12 month period. If it is not them well it certainly won't be long anyway as in probably less than a year with the worst ones.I personally doubt that they'll go because of their poor ride-quality - if they're on the road, Arriva don't care! The T-PNBs are older and so they'll probably go first - whether they're better or worse than the Marshalls. If Arriva thought about the quality of their buses first, their fleet would probably be different! RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - H101GEV - 12/09/2012 18:41 While I think on, has that God-awful R-ABA that was at Bootle finally crocked it? Haven't seen it recently. RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - H101GEV - 12/09/2012 18:45 Indeed, I meant 7569. Thanks for that, good riddance to bad rubbish. It was lovely when it arrived and its quality decreased before it was withdrawn, but it was never a "bad" bus. To be honest, I had 7569 around about a week before it was withdrawn and it was still better than some X-ANCs and certainly better than most marshalls. It had a grim, tired interior, rode roughly and was quite sluggish when I've ridden it in the past. Others may like that sort of thing, but I don't. RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - anw2015 - 12/09/2012 19:22 Nice to see the 53 getting buses deserved of a QBP! I was thinking this before but with the mylleniums/ alx 300's rumoured to go from Birkenhead when they get there new pulsars, surely a few of these buses would be ideal for the 311? I cant imagine the reliability rate of the darts is that good on such a long route! Especially 12 year old plus darts! |
