Although only a registration for the 160 are all the Formby Circulars (160/161/162/163/164/165) the one contract and so Ace would be operating them all?

There is, running from Warrington to Gemini Retail Park, which is north-west of Warrington. Gorse Covert is east of Warrington just to the east of Birchwood. So, either the 17 will run as a cross-town service or the current 17 is being withdrawn and a new 17 will start.

The 17 is being extended.
It will begin at the Interchange, then operate to the area it does at the moment, before going on to Orford and then Birchwood.
It will also serve some extra employment locations during the peak periods.
Warrington won a bid to get these -- and related -- improvements.

Interesting that change for route 49, the timetable has been on Merseytravel's site a few days already for it!
Usually VOSA changes show up well in advance of the timetables being published!

Other side of the coin is the fact that we still await the new timetables for the 33/33A and 34/34A on Merseytravel's website - strange as the 32/32A is already up there. All these changes were on VOSA quite a while back.
