RE: Stagecoach North East - Tango - 08/09/2012 19:48 I wouldn't be so sure as 21105 along with sister 21104 are fitted with the green road system where as the alx bodied examples are no which would indicate that they may be staying in service a while longer yet or maybe even converted for use as driver trainers and also taking into consideration 21105 has recently received a "new" engine, can't speak for 21101-3 as far as green road is concerned asi don't know if they have the system fitted or not, another angle may be that it is minus it's ticket machine due to being in the process of getting transferred to another depot. RE: Stagecoach North East - kuyoyo - 08/09/2012 21:19 Considering it's been parked in the same spot in South Shields depot, give or take, every time I've been in the last two weeks or so, I would hazard it's time on the road in service with Stagecoach is done. We also have to remember that, while they are low-floor, they aren't exactly DDA compatible, indeed as far as I'm aware only 21101/3 have portable wheelchair ramps. Maybe they could be converted to driver trainers but consider the B10Ms were only converted 2 years ago, I can see them (sadly) being sold on. RE: Stagecoach North East - W179 SCU - 09/09/2012 15:08 Do any Stagecoach Olympians/B10BLE's operate in Middlesbrough on weekends? And is there any good services/buses for me to photo when I visit Middlesbrough? The B10BLEs are normally on the 35 (Stockton-Wolviston Court), the spare one is usually found on everything but the 36/7/8 and any evening workings. The Olympians are normally to be found on the 13 and 52/58 with occassional appearances on the 11, 12/34 and 12/14/34. And also, it seems I have a good chance of getting an Olympian! What are the rest of the services operated by? Yes, the B10BLEs are normally only used in Stockton, indeed this last week they've been on everything over Stockton bar the 36/7/8. As for anything else: 36: MAN Enviro300s, though at the moment also a number of MAN ALX300s on there 37: The branded MANs 22061-3/6 and any of the 03 examples or 22065 Everything else is operated by the MAN ALX300s RE: Stagecoach North East - W179 SCU - 09/09/2012 15:52 (09/09/2012 15:46)kuyoyo Wrote:(09/09/2012 15:33)W179 SCU Wrote:(09/09/2012 15:29)kuyoyo Wrote: The B10BLEs are normally on the 35 (Stockton-Wolviston Court), the spare one is usually found on everything but the 36/7/8 and any evening workings. I might not visit Stockton for B10BLE's though! Is there even a slim chance of getting one in Middlesbrough? A very slim chance, all depends on where the third one is allocated - if it's on the 13 or any of the Middlesbrough service then maybe. Otherwise, afraid it's Stockton or nothing (or if the third one is on the 52/58, Billingham as well). Oh well! - I will visit Stockton as well, then! Cheers for all your help, Tony RE: Stagecoach North East - W179 SCU - 09/09/2012 19:58 I forgot to ask, are any N reg Olympians still in service at Stockton? |
