The dart was going to be the new X22 vehicle but looks like the PS is back! Good spot! RE: Howards/Springfield - Valandil - 02/02/2013 21:34 I'm really surprised to hear that the X22 gets such large loadings! Does this mean it's operated commercially? And what about stopping at Runcorn regularly too, if the service already goes over the Bridge? RE: Howards/Springfield - The H man - 02/02/2013 22:04 The loadings are hit and miss, sometimes its carrying single figures. Its operated under tender to CWAC. This contract has survived from being cut as its a link to Liverpool for the residents of Northwich / Winsford to visit their families, as a lot of Liverpool people moved from Liverpool to Runcorn/Northwich/Winsford. It doesnt stop in Runcorn as there are already enough buses to liverpool and a tendered service is not lawfully allowed to compete with a commercial service. Quite a few passengers get off the service in Speke, meet family/friends etc then travel into Liverpool and catch the return in the afternoon. RE: Howards/Springfield - motormayhem - 30/03/2013 08:17 I was getting told yeasterday that the tri axle olympian (maxirider) made its last journey yeasterday from warrington to liverpool and back as it as been bought and will be moving to its new home very shortly. RE: Howards/Springfield - J654UHN - 30/03/2013 17:05 All 3 have been sold MM. Shame as they are lovely buses just the age and cost of fitting belts to them isnt worth it |
