There might be one or two but Bootle won't be able to run a full service without the majority.

Im also led to believe that Bootle has to have at least two vehicles available for the merseyrail emergency rail replacement contract as well alongside Birkenhead's three available , usually double deckers but can be single deckers if thats all thats available.

Either 4000 or 4001 returned back to Laird Street at around 9pm last night, not too sure if something else has headed the other way to replace it.

4000 had power problems on wednesday so guess it could be that one

4001 was out last night and today so it must have been 4000!

RE: Merseyrail Rail Replacement Buses - H101GEV - 14/02/2014 20:25

Saw the following on today's rail replacements: 4000, 4001, 4027, 4030, 4076, 4079, 4090, 4097, 4180, 4181, 4208, 4209, 4210, 4211, 4212, 4214, 4216 and 4417.

4208's fan belt was making a dreadful scream at Southport this afternoon. The worst sounding bus I've heard for a long while.

Are you sure you saw 4000 as thought it had gone back to birkenhead
