RE: Avon Buses - St Helens Rider - 26/07/2014 15:21 It seems Cumfybus are more interested in TfGM work these days anyway. The pay is better, thanks to first and Stagecoach they're are less independents to compete with, and some of the contracts some with a free hybrid bus RE: Avon Buses - WAITING FOR THE 437 - 27/07/2014 20:34 Sorry I thought this was the Avon thread! Cumfybus loss = Avon's gain RE: Avon Buses - wirralbus - 28/07/2014 05:39 Its only Avon's gain because they have now decided to spread there wings a bit further , I do wonder that if Avon didn't operate that commercial service in Liverpool some while back would they have ever come over to Liverpool . Don't forget that a Liverpool independent operator tried to come over to the Wirral and it didn't work out for them. Eazibus came over to Liverpool and it worked out for them Impera came over to Liverpool and it didn't All depends on how you run the services, and if your willing to open up an outstation RE: Avon Buses - R557 ABA - 28/07/2014 11:52 (28/07/2014 11:11)Raawwwrrr! RE: Avon Buses - PO59 MXJ - 28/07/2014 12:20 There was an old scruffy looking Avon driver really having a go at a female Stagecoach driver in Heawall bus station the other day. He stated that "Stagecoach are greedy ba****ds robbing all the work on the Wirral". Very unprofessional. Its only true though, Avon have lost out on service 22 along with them having to withdraw their 40/40A & 80 services, due to stagecoaches "greed". RE: Avon Buses - PO59 MXJ - 28/07/2014 15:07 Stagecoach are still picking up the pieces from First. Chester have been told they have 2 years to make reasonable profit or the depot will be shut down, not sold! So that about 100 drivers out of a job. Its business isn't it, if a company can see something thats going to make monry then they are going to go down that line, whether it stings another company or not. What Avon should do is give Stagecoach some competition. Think how can we make our services better, what services can we start.. |
