RE: South Lancs Travel - motormayhem1 - 12/03/2015 20:37 The locals could be given up and let transdev take the 535 and diamond the others and arriva keep the 575/362/10. RE: South Lancs Travel - M60lad - 12/03/2015 20:58 More news is that the new Commercial Manager at Diamondbus Northwest (SLT) wants the MAN Meridians repainted ASAP and once repainted they will be going back on 635s, also the only SLT buses that will be staying with Diamondbus Northwest will be Solos and as I've said the MAN's and maybe the Scanias although there is a hint (not sure yet) that some or all of the Scanias will be off as he's planning on replacements for the 126 & 132 as they are the big earners for the depot at the moment RE: South Lancs Travel - motormayhem1 - 12/03/2015 22:34 The only reason i say transdev is because i thought they operate along that route into bolton with arriva and when i say give the route to diamond i dont personally mean go to them and say here you can have this route its just my way of saying if they did close bolton which I'm not saying they are and is a big if then they will only take routes that are profitable and that can be run from other depots with minimal lost mileage which would then leave all the locals to get deregistered and possibly taken up by other operators if they are deemed to fit in with there network plans. RE: South Lancs Travel - B10B6514 - 12/03/2015 23:17 Interesting times afoot. As a suggestion.. Should this thread now be renamed Diamond Bus (North West)/SLT? Scott Dunn is the MD of Yourbus and has major interests (and his family) in Australia, which is where he spends most of his time. Rumour has it that he and Simon Dunn do not see eye to eye. Hence I don't see much likelihood of him having anything to do with what was South Lancs... Bob Dunn on the other hand (Scott and Simon's father and MD at Preston Bus) is much more likely to have influence/control. Bob is a stand-up guy who has done a good job at Preston; not someone to be messed with, but a proper bus man and someone who thinks nothing of turning up at 0500 and supervising the morning run-out. RE: South Lancs Travel - T42 PVM - 13/03/2015 12:08 As just proven Indirectly is not always correct as when Information is past from one person to another it can be changed a bit, I never stated anywhere that you where making this up, i was just interested to know where your Information came RE: South Lancs Travel - T42 PVM - 13/03/2015 15:32 Got an E.Mail from Merseytravel today saying they are looking to partly replace the 319 Service RE: South Lancs Travel - T42 PVM - 13/03/2015 17:44 Floline 67 has now been Withdrawn from Service |
