Yes - I flew it a couple of times -really handy but underutilised - so yes they abandoned it as not profitable.

Thomson and Thomas Cook to have own service operating at Liverpool:

At present both operators do use other carriers based at Liverpool so it is worth asking for Liverpool flights when looking at their holidays. The more interest shown the more likely to produce additional services from Liverpool.
Several examples of people using Liverpool flights having booked with a number of companies that do not initially offer the option!
