I did finally make it to Llandudno & Rhyl as planned last Saturday. In terms of Arriva buses I rode route 13 from Prestatyn to Llandudno, admittedly LL Commander 2570, then Sapphire 4542 on route 12 to Rhyl and Gemini 4485 on route 11 to Chester.

The Sapphire on route 12 was good, but what was odd was the right "armrest" on the solo seat right of the aisle. Ironically, I then preferred the double seat on the Gemini!

I had to shun a Sapphire on route 11 to catch a Gemini on it. I could have been more unfortunate, as in the other direction I saw 2 consecutive Pulsars coming on route 11 the other way!

All depots seem to be low on spare buses in wales, wrexham , rhyl and bangor :o

Was in Llanudno for the weekend and called in at Rhyl on the way back today. I saw 4555 the last of the Enviro400s that had previously eluded me but unfortunately could not see 4191 at the depot. Is 4191 still at Rhyl or has it moved? VOR? 4060 was working the 51S and I think I also saw 4486 on the 51, all on Friday afternoon.

4191 VOR on pit having heater work done before winter sets in. Was that you I saw while I was moving the buses around the yard?

Yes, around midday. I could not attract your attention as you were busy and having fun, or so it seemed!

Thanks for the reply. I missed a couple of the Bangor DAF DDs as well so I'll have to come back some time.
