RE: 2013/14 Football Season - wirralbus - 28/04/2014 14:02 Merseyside Football did not have a good time this weekend did it ? Everton , they just didnt start did they this weekend , conceding that Own Goal so early on , from then on it was a matter of trying to just contain play , then they conceded that second own goal. Liverpool , oh well it was always going to be a mistake that was going to make the difference in such an important match , Chelsea though showed why they are always in and around the top of the table year in year out with there defensive display. Tranmere Rovers , oh well they really have not got going at all this season , too many lacklustre displays , followed by boardroom and management changes looming on the horizon. RE: 2013/14 Football Season - wirralbus - 05/05/2014 05:01 Unfortunately on Saturday Tranmere did not make it , all the results conspired against them and though they was even leading at one stage it wouldnt have been enough anyway , eventually they lost two goals to one to Bradford . Its been a while since they was in the bottom league of the Football League , but they are back there for the 2014/15 season . RE: 2013/14 Football Season - MPTE1955 - 05/05/2014 05:16 Must admit, it is quite sad to see Tranmere drop back to the bottom tied, just hope that they go back up again next season. RE: 2013/14 Football Season - H101GEV - 05/05/2014 21:38 Seems like the only Merseyside club with a happy ending to the season was Southport. Liverpool flirted with the title, Everton flirted with fourth and Tranmere flirted with safety but it wasn't to be. Nevertheless, proud seasons for both Liverpool clubs. Liverpool proably blew it tonight, 3-0 up with less than 30 minutes to play against a team with nothing to play for. Only themselves to blame. Can see Rogers signing defenders this summer. RE: 2013/14 Football Season - MPTE1955 - 05/05/2014 22:13 Title was probably gone after Chelsea, but certainly blew tonights game. Terrible defending tonight but overall still a good season for LFC. Glen Johnson didn't help his claim for a new contract tonight either. RE: 2013/14 Football Season - DVL418 - 06/05/2014 07:24 Hopefully the prospect of Champions League football should keep Saurez for at least one more season. RE: 2013/14 Football Season - wirralbus - 06/05/2014 08:07 I think there was a lot of emotion in Suarez yesterday , something that i havent seen in him in all the time he has been at Liverpool. I bet the Liverpool team feel dejected after letting that potential three goal lead go , Pulis has shown why he is one of the best managers of lower premier league teams in the country , those subs he introduced changed the game especially that Gayle . Thing now for Pulis is will Gayle still be at Crystal Palace next season or will one of the main title contenders snaffle him up , that was the perfect shopping window for him. RE: 2013/14 Football Season - childwallblues - 08/05/2014 05:03 Citteeeeee blew the Villains away in the second half last night with a 4-0 victory. Yaya Toure scored a beauty in added time with a run from the half way line through a dejected defence to slot the ball into the net. Master Class! Is that a genuine question? |
