RE: Halton Transport - K853 MTJ - 22/03/2013 20:46 Caldwell Road was home to 4 Arriva Cadets this afternoon due to the bridge being closed, they were sent down after clogging up Green Oaks for a while. Wasn't for long and they soon made their way back to Runcorn depot, annoyingly I just missed out on a picture of them at the yard! Must say I'm surprised by the Solos; they seem to be out in service pretty much everyday, I was expecting Halton to have a little trouble with them seeing as they are non-standard and a completely new type for them, but its good to see they are performing well. Ive rode on 57 twice and it's actually a nice bus, a little on the slow side perhaps but ideal for what they are used on. And happily the 26/A seems to be getting good loadings judging by what Ive seen which is good news. Good work Halton! RE: Halton Transport - WidnesRuncornBus - 22/03/2013 20:54 Yes the solos have been surprisingly reliable which is great news. I got caught up in the bridge nightmare today. Waited nearly to hours for anything to turn up in the blistering cold stuck in the old town. Aventually a 61 turned up so I has the pleasure of riding #75, seems to be a bit sluggish in its old age but I think this is only a recent thing. I got a pic of the cadets in the yard so I will upload it soon, but it was only a quick shot so dont expect great quality. RE: Halton Transport - CX54 DKD - 28/03/2013 18:49 One of the Solos out on 17As this afternoon. Didn't manage to catch which one. Still not a fan of the livery but it does look better in person. I don't think that's necessarily the case: don't the 17/17a/14a/2 all interwork now, or did I get that wrong? That would mean that 1 vehicle could have been on one of those boards, with the other 2 on the 26(a). (This is based on what I've heard others say: I've not been to Halton for a long time!) I thought that the 2 and the 12 interwork, but I'm not a Halton regular so what you've just said could indeed be the case! The Solo on the 12 seems to be the unbranded one, though - hope this narrow's CX54 DKD's sighting down.(28/03/2013 21:11)3111 Wrote: There's a photo of one on the 2 today on Facebook, so something "different" must have been on the 26/26A for the first time since the services were refreshed!I don't think that's necessarily the case: don't the 17/17a/14a/2 all interwork now, or did I get that wrong? RE: Halton Transport - CX54 DKD - 28/03/2013 23:15 Literally saw it from the front too far to make out the registration, couldn't tell you whether it was branded or not. Sorry chaps. The 14A and the 17/17A interwork, not too sure about the 2, thats the first i've heard of it. #20 is usually on the 2/2A board and I've only spotted that on a 17 once myself when its been on the 2/2A (28/03/2013 22:01)3111 Wrote: Oh right!
