RE: Halton Transport - GWD0595 - 12/07/2013 18:15 Just come across this, looks like a service 27 has been registered by HT... https://www.tan.gov.uk/tanen/vosa_selfservicebusroutesview.asp?txtLicenceId=99722&txtLicenceNo=PC0001376&cboRegNoFilter=PC0001376/131 Also today, saw #73 (poss 79) traveling down Watkinson Way towards Tesco. Saw it from the back, it had '1' on the back blind. May have just been a test run etc, but thought it was worth noting ![]() RE: Halton Transport - Raawwwrrr! - 12/07/2013 19:41 (12/07/2013 18:15)GWD0595 Wrote: Just come across this, looks like a service 27 has been registered by HT... If it just had "1" on the back it's possible the blind has just got stuck, Some of the older darts can get whatever was on previous stuck on the back, whilst the front and side show something different, the 14 operates down. I had #73 Wednesday and although the front showed 17, the rear shown 713 RE: Halton Transport - WidnesRuncornBus - 12/07/2013 19:49 The 27, hmmmm sounds intresting. Prehaps and new lease of life for the older darts??? Or prehaps this is why Halton are trialing new vechiles. It could be a pretty good service with some half decent loadings as there is quite a population around weates close. I wish that Halton would sort the blinds out on there darts, its really getting my back up and it looks quite unprofessional. I know what you mean with the blinds, they tend to have a mind of their own sometimes! (12/07/2013 19:49)WidnesRuncornBus Wrote: The 27, hmmmm sounds intresting. I'm just wondering though if this sounds a tad like the 62, from Weates Close, towards Vicarage Road? RE: Halton Transport - RSTurbo50 - 12/07/2013 21:35 The 27 will be the 62 in reverse to Vicarage Rd.....simples. From its number, it sounds like a modified version of the part of the 26(a) which goes over that side of town. RE: Halton Transport - RSTurbo50 - 13/07/2013 16:51 ^^^^ To be fair I could be wrong mate but I'm guessing it would be a reverse of the 62 from vicarage rd. Did they not have something similar many many years ago? If you have a look on a few of the bus stop signs over Halton View way, some of the signs (above the stop) have "27", suggesting a similar service ran earlier. RE: Halton Transport - St Helens Rider - 13/07/2013 20:54 Think the 27 used to be an evening & Sunday service which ran from Widnes to Rainhill/Cronton (every 2 hours Rainhill/every 2 hours Cronton). but ran a strange route at the Widnes end. RE: Halton Transport - RSTurbo50 - 13/07/2013 20:58 I thought the old 27 service was the 62 in reverse? I'm sure as a kid back in the 1980s I was on the route a few times... |
