The differences between the two classes that I can remember are:

- The 320s are capable of 90 mph and the 321s are capable of 100 mph
- The 321s were originally four car units but are being reformed to three car units
- The 321s were fitted with toilets from new. The 320s only gained them relatively recently

With the 321s being reformed I wonder where the seven spare carriages are going to go

319429 is undertaking daily testing between Bletchley and Rugby.

The 321s on the Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey branch are due to be replaced on 20 September by different traction.
321412 and 321416 have gone to WABTEC Doncaster for re-furbishment prior to transfer to Scotrail.

321413 is due to be the final 321 on the St Albans branch.
313013 and 319460 are due to leave Silverton for Northampton imminently.

Birmingham New Street Station Redevelopment is nearly complete and will fully open tomorrow 20th September . Hopefully be a while before any more development is needed at this station.

Great news about Birmingham New Street station! I believed it was due to reopen fully in September. All we need is for the rebuilt Pallasades, I understand to be renamed Grand Central, to open followed by the Metro extension there.

Its always nice to see building work completed and for the new building to then be used to its full potential.
