Why do London buses have dual doors? Is it to decrease the time people get on and off? Is it to decrease the time people get on and off? It's supposed to speed up time at stops ie passengers getting off use centre door while passengers boarding use front door. Stops and stands up here arnt really designed for dual door layout and to be honest I think it just looks odd lol. I thought it were for that reason so the deckers could be going to Birmingham to have the doors replaced. They might just be in Atherton for storage. RE: Diamond Bus North West (formerly South Lancs Travel) - SLTRegular - 11/12/2015 12:36 They have a Green Diamond on them so they are Definitely for Atherton RE: Diamond Bus North West (formerly South Lancs Travel) - Mayneway - 11/12/2015 12:51 (11/12/2015 12:17)RedPanda Wrote: I thought it were for that reason so the deckers could be going to Birmingham to have the doors replaced. They would removed the centre doors prior to painting and applying vinyls etc. RE: Diamond Bus North West (formerly South Lancs Travel) - YN05 WKE - 12/12/2015 00:12 Any photos of these new deckers online anywhere? The deckers has the message "get intu the Trafford Centre" and 126 & 132 on the rear. https://www.flickr.com/photos/67444577@N02/23567869682/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/67444577@N02/23594324961/ RE: Diamond Bus North West (formerly South Lancs Travel) - RedPanda - 12/12/2015 21:40 (12/12/2015 20:49)SF07 Wrote: Photos from Flickr. Looking very smart, you don't notice the dual doors RE: Diamond Bus North West (formerly South Lancs Travel) - M60lad - 12/12/2015 22:54 Not sure how accurate this info is but I've heard that due to ramp problems these deckers might not now see service on 126/132s and might not even stay at Atherton RE: Diamond Bus North West (formerly South Lancs Travel) - Metroline1511 - 12/12/2015 23:12 (12/12/2015 20:49)SF07 Wrote: Photos from Flickr.
