Surely ANNW could source additional vehicles from other areas of the country fairly quickly. Stagecoach seem to be able to do this without any problem. RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Rhyl Depot - DK09 GXY - 15/07/2016 11:37 Stagecoach have a reserve fleet, far as I'm aware Arriva don't RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Rhyl Depot - steve517757 - 15/07/2016 11:47 (15/07/2016 11:36)Barney Wrote: Arriva is a very large bus operator. It is not just Arriva NNW that has taken over services ... Arriva Midlands has taken over 4 routes in Shrewsbury. What size buses are needed for these routes? Arriva London has just withdrawn a handful of 06-reg MPDs .... doubt they have moved on yet, but a possibility. Perhaps Arriva should adopt Stagecoach's policy of retaining vehicles in a reserve fleet for such eventualities. Is this why Stagecoach always seem to do big sporting events (golf tournaments etc.) events around the country? RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Rhyl Depot - DK09 GXY - 15/07/2016 12:20 Yeah they should, but then again theres the cost of keeping more vehicles taxed and tested , perhaps Arriva don't see this as worthwhile.
