I have found that Stagecoach and Arriva are operators of tenders as a last resort. RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - CKC 312L - 13/06/2017 06:03 So the 901 has finally bitten the dust to be replaced by a new service this and the 118/119 have been around for absolutely ages. I think that along with the 129 are the 3 longest (in terms of years operating) Merseytravel contracts on the Wirral if not in Merseyside RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - R557 ABA - 13/06/2017 07:31 (12/06/2017 19:03)Dentonian Wrote: Thanks, but my main query would be whether it is commercial? Surely it is, so why appear in a public review. That's because the review is part of the Merseyside Bus Alliance, with Merseytravel working with all operators to make a so-called combined network. RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - moreton407 - 13/06/2017 09:59 ......and yet the 129 survives? RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - MTL0201 - 13/06/2017 13:38 The 423 withdrawal is going to cause a few problems especially with the late night services, i know a few people who use the late night services towards Wallasey, don't think the 413 & 1A/1B/1C replacements will finish as late as the current 423 does, last 423 to Seacombe goes through Moreton around midnight, last 423 to Liscard is around 12.30am. RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - busdude - 13/06/2017 19:24 Some of the proposed bus timetables have been released with the 124/125/492/495 interworking with each other, so atleast the Wallasey and Beechwood link is still maintained http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/about-us/Documents/Wirral%20Timetables/Timetable%20and%20Route%20-%20Proposed%20492%20495%20124%20125%20services.pdf RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - Jw88 - 13/06/2017 19:46 merseytravel have revealed some of there Proposed Timetables For The Wirral Bus Review The Test Timetables Are Very Different to the Current ones and have no Colour: New Buses Services 1A, 1B, 1C Leasowe - Moreton Circular Proposed Timetable Link: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/about-us/Documents/Wirral%20Timetables/Timetable%20and%20Route%20-%20Proposed%201%20Service.pdf Service 39 New Ferry - Mill Park Proposed Timetable Link: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/about-us/Documents/Wirral%20Timetables/Timetable%20and%20Route%20-%20Proposed%2039%20Service.pdf Current Services Service 106 New Brighton - Liscard Circular Proposed Timetable Link: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/about-us/Documents/Wirral%20Timetables/Timetable%20and%20Route%20-%20Proposed%20revised%20106%20service.pdf Services 124/125 New Brighton Harrison Drive - Woodside And 492/495 Woodside - Noctorum Proposed Timetable Link: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/about-us/Documents/Wirral%20Timetables/Timetable%20and%20Route%20-%20Proposed%20492%20495%20124%20125%20services.pdf According to this timetable the 124/125 Will Interwork With The 492/495 Service 145 Moreton Cross/Upton Station or Birkenhead Bus Station - Eastham Ferry Proposed Timetable Link: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/about-us/Documents/Wirral%20Timetables/Timetable%20and%20Route%20-%20Proposed%20145%20service.pdf RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - MTL0201 - 13/06/2017 21:24 The 1A/1B/1C timetable is really confusing, would have been better to retain the 901 with 902 & still have the start/terminus at Leasowe Station RE: Wirral Bus Network Review - St Helens Rider - 13/06/2017 22:14 As an outsider looking in on this one, it appears that generally through links have been cut in favour of short local circulars which in some cases don't even get to the centres of either Birkenhead or Wallasey. |
