The first person to set foot on the moon Neil armstrong has died aged 82.
I thought that due to the nature of this death and the importance in space exploration that he should have a thread of his own

Yes, today is a sad day for astronomy, he will be sorely missed by many people and my thoughts go out to his family and friends, he will be talked about for many years to come because of that special day which was 21st July 1969. RIP!
