Of particular interest is this......was 1615 new to the Liverpool side (Speke) originally as it is well known as this http://www.flickr.com/photos/nebp2/7474666840/in/faves-dmc1947/ as an LS vehicle.

Some excellent photos in there, at risk of sounding old memories of the way things used to be. Also I noticed what is probably a rare photo of 1972. Thanks for posting.

1976 fleetlist now scanned & uploaded. Full allocations for most of the L class Atlanteans plus notice how many Fleetlines were on order.......

Another MPTE bus to enter preservation is Jumbo Atlantean 1204 MAN-3460 (XKC 831K)
I plan to preserve 1204 in Merseyside PTE livery - any information about the vehicle's service on Merseyside would be much appreciated

Just had a look through a few MPTE fleetlists (on my Flickr for interest) and it was at Edge Lane in 1976, Gillmoss from the 1979 list through to the 1983 list, gone by the 1985 list.

GKA - Many thanks for that - I now plan to preserve 1204 as a Gillmoss bus
Mathias - That was considered but as we've already got a Jumbo Atlantean in Isle of Man livery I thought it would be better to have our other Jumbo in Merseyside livery

That is excellent new as Gillmoss was my home depot for all of my childhood and no doubt I will have ridden 1204 when I was a child. Good Luck with it.
