Dartford River Crossing
Dartford River Crossing
Due to a major security alert , the Dartford River Crossing has been completely closed .

This includes the QEII Bridge and the two Tunnels under the Thames Estuary , this is causing heavy to severe congestion in surrounding areas .

The traffic is tailing back by 9 miles on the Essex side of the crossing and 4 miles on the Kent side of the crossing .

As the Dartford River Crossing is part of the M25 its closure would cause chaos!

All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles

RE: Dartford River Crossing
Its part of the Orbital Road called the M25 is not actually a Motorway for the crossing section but the A282.

This section is copied and pasted from Wikipedia , The crossing carries nearly 160,000 vehicles a day and forms part of London's orbital route, the M25—although the crossing and its approach road are actually the A282, allowing traffic prohibited from motorways to use the crossing.

The vast majority of users though will be using the M25 on either side of the crossing

They can call it what they like. As far as the majority of users are concerned it is the M25. It is also M25 to the BBC Traffic and Travel!
