Really the only services it can be used on is the 9, 26/A, 27 and 200 (and 61A extras)

I think bus 20 really shows the company up when it's (quite frequently) on route 27, as it doesn't even have a dest for that service.

Am I right in thinking that this is the only Halton Transport vehicle with blinds still in regular public service?

Almost! A small number of the Capital 2's still retain theirs such as 24 off the top of my head

22,23,24,25,26 all still have blinds with 27 being fitted earlier this year. 20-26 all have Euro 2 engines and 27 onwards have Euro 3 and are about a year younger so its likely Halton seen it worth while fitting these ones with LEDs, most have had them since 2013 so if they last until the first quarter of 2018 then they would have had about 5 years out of them.

That's down to Halton though. It wouldn't take or cost much to have the blinds amended with extra destinations added.
When blackpool transport had the farewell olympian day a few months back they simply added 'Star Gate' to the exsisting blind. It was clear and easily readable and that was just for one day!

#20 does have the destinations the 27 serves on it's roll set, however the blinds needs to be set separately i.e route, then destination code rather than the code that just enters both with it's original destinations. You can set both "Widnes Vicarage Rd" (with no via points) and you can also set "Widnes Bancroft Road" (however this has the via points for the original 62, via Runcorn).

Another example of this is that you can set '26 Cronton" (from the pre-programmed original non-circular route) but you can't set "26A Cronton" or "26 Widnes" as a stand alone code.

Just seen the mini Marshall and another full size one near Manchester Airport, I assume that they are now withdrawn?

Well both 20 and 22 where both still in service about 10 days ago but the only explanation for them being near Manchester Airport is that they are heading for scrap somewhere.
