Stagecoach MCSL - Chester & Wirral Depots
RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
I have to agree with you Barney , if a potential passenger is going to be freezing on a journey im sure they will think if there a car driver , I will take my car over next time and take the consequences of all the delays that Liverpool City Council and Merseytravel are saying that will happen if people take there cars over.

GUTTED. It isn't normal. SC tend to avoid putting a decker on Blacons because everyone goes upstairs meaning longer boarding and unloading time.

I was going to say that double deckers on blacon services doesnt happen too often anymore .

To say that stagecoach tend not to put double deckers on blacon services because people tend to go upstairs and it causes delays due to the unloading time , could easily be said for a route with a double decker.

Perhaps this vehicle was used because the vehicle that was going to be used developed a fault and this bus was next in line to be used , pending route restrictions.

I ended up being 45 mins late with 10806 yesterday on the 10:15 from Chester. I like them to drive but they are sluggish to build up speed at times. Think the engines could do with being a bit more powerful but overall nice buses. I didn't like them yesterday but I'm more fond of them now. We at Chester have some of Gillmoss's 16 Plate mmc's as well. Think we have 3. Couldn't ID them yesterday but I'm sure you will all see them out and about in the coming days. I would certainly like the X8 to be a double decked route permanently as I think it warrants it the majority of the time especially to and from the oaks. I have heard rumours that have circulated that the 1 is going to become a more direct service and the 2 will either serve the zoo or the oaks. Personally the 2 is bad enough as it is going round bebington and port sunlight. I'd like the 2 to be every 20 minutes rather than every 30 especially through Great Sutton. There was a decker on the 1 yesterday but that took the decker route through Upton due to an incident at Bache rail station around 5pm last night.

Do you know which trips it generally does on the X2, or could it be any?

51 and 53 interwork as things stand (probably not for much longer though), so if it's on one, it will also be on the other.

Decker is normally the 07:33, 13:30 and 16:45 from chester on school days as it picks up school kids for helsby high. 53/51 has a decker on most days as it does a 51 to st james' avenue (upton high) at around 3pm then changes to the S1 to Saughall in the afternoon on school days.
