RE: South West Trains
Since the new operator First, MTR doesn't want the class 707? Does anyone know where would the class 707 go to? |

RE: South West Trains
Oh what a state of affairs when a perfectly brand new train is not wanted in the Class 707 , is this because arch enemy Stagecoach wanted them , this shows all that is wrong in the franchise system. |

RE: South West Trains
I think it's more due to the high leasing cost's and the fact they don't have toilets fitted it's probably just a trick to get the costs lowered now it's a renters market. Bring Back Arriva Skelmersdale |

RE: South West Trains
I would have thought Angel/Siemens would be able to beat anyone else by making an offer to build the new trains, and take the 707s back to be re-fitted as the tail end of the order. ; |

Maybe , but now the leasing company will be looking for a franchise who wants some nearly new stock , to be honest its a perverse decision , that will look just plain silly to the travelling public when they see these Class 707 units laid up after three years use. |
