There's a number of D&G changes showing on VOSA today, I'm not sure any of them relate to the award of new contracts though.

Current 78 registration cancelled. New 78 registration for Nantwich Bus Station to Mablins Lane, Coppenhall, Crewe via Leighton Hospital.

Current 38 registration cancelled. New 38 registration for Crewe Bus Station to Macclesfield Bus Station via Sandbach, Congleton. Possibly commercial Sunday service with Nantwich section withdrawn?

5/6 registration revised. Suggests a reduced commercial service to replace current contracted service.

85/85A registration revised. Possibly removal of contracted 85A journeys?

8 & 12 registrations revised.

All other registrations relating to Cheshire East contracts like the 42 and 88 cancelled.

The one surprise is the 300 is cancelled altogether, rather than just revised to remove the contracted evening and Saturday services. Possibly if they have won the Route E contract then an alternative will be provided for the Longridge estate one way or another. If not then it might be an excellent opportunity for an operator who has lost work to pick up a new route which they can make a small profit on.

There's also a considerable number of changes for D&G Bus services under the West Midlands Traffic Area today.

Just spotted that, Previous posts hadn't loaded when I posted, apologies everyone.

Do we think that since the A6MMR isn't ready yet it's going to run via the 200 route to keep Styal Quarry Bank Mill connected?

All the registration says is Macclesfield to Manchester Airport via Alderley Edge so I think we'll have to wait until they publish the timetable. They could still serve Colshaw Farm and run to the Airport afterwards, or maybe they'll run via Wilmslow Rd and serve Airport City?

Can't see Colshaw Farm being served. There's only 17 mins to play with (to get to and from the Airport) unless they put extra resource in.
Replicating the 200 would need 40 mins (only 37 available) possible, but very tight.
The Wilmslow Road option seems the most likely with the existing 2 buses, we'll see.

There is the option of going via Styal but not serving Quarry Bank Mill. Alternatively the option of interworking it with something else at the Macclesfield end but that would come at the expense of not having buses 30 minutes before/after Arriva services.

Timetables online and it is routed via Styal. The service has a running time of just over an hour, not too bad for it running the route it is.

It's just 56 minutes for the standard pattern services to provide an hourly service with a PVR of 2. However, at peak times journey times are extended and consequently the gap between some peak time services is over 60 minutes.
