However drivers in Bangor complained that the SR’s were not practical for the Bethesda routes with some drivers reporting that 711 use to ground in the Gerlan area.

So 711 was sent to Wrexham, and some Original style Solos moved in the other direction

The CX57s replaced the Darts though, there were no Darts left bar the 9 series after the 66*s and they already had their future planned with the swap at Rhyl with the Enviro200s im sure the reason being was simply because they're not slimlime we sent 0663 in exchange for 0711 and then latterly received 0701/5 because the SRs are welcomed here.

It was actually 695 that was directly swapped with 711, it was determined that 711 was unsuitable for a number of Bangor routes with tight sections that less suited the width of the SR which necessitated the swap.

I have seen it on blacons a few times. Arriva Chester seem very short on buses. The cadets keep creeping onto blacons and pulsars keep going on the 10/10As as well. You can tell how bad things are at Arriva as you used to go out and be 99% certain what bus would be on the route. Now it could be anything. Blacon has had Enviro400 Sapphire, Lowlander, Pulsar, Cadet and Solos and that is just the past month or so. They wouldn't mess about with blacons or sapphire unless they were very very short.

What is the current PVR for Chester?

Blacons - 3
Saughall - 1
12/13 - 6
4/X4 - 9
10/10A - 9
82 - 2

I make it 30. 31 if you include the 10S (11A doesn't add to the PVR as it works off another route afaik). I can't think of any other route but this does sound very low for Chester depot.

Must be really short of buses as you said as I believe there is 38 buses based at Chester including the Lowlander

One thing thats got me wondering is will the 10/10As lose the Sapphire branding when the Pulsars replace the Enviro400s if it is then 2935 might need to be repainted or cascaded

That is meant to be the case yes afaik. No point in rebranding the pulsars and bringing them to spec. The 10/10A keeps having random buses on it anyway so the sapphire doesn't really work now.
