It was training Southport drivers for this weeks rail blockade. A major part of the training is driving a bus through the Birkenhead tunnel which requires quite a bit of nous otherwise a shunt van would have sufficed.

Im not sure if it was 2582 or 2583 but one of them sounded knackered when I was on one the other day in St Helens.

2629 was on 413/4 this afternoon,Southport vehicle?Probably part of rail replacement.Also 2553 was on there as well.One or two pulsars on 407/472 including 3001 and 3008

2629 is a pool vehicle

Is it just Southport drivers doing the rail replacements then? Or certain drivers from each depot? I assume all the buses are stored at Laird Street overnight?
