The poor people will be the ones who arrive for the first service to be run by the replacement bus at the first stop. They might see a new bus coming in on the inbound service, only for the driver to change the display to "Sorry not in service" and then the old bus turns up with the service number on the destination display.

Reminds me of the time when First Bus had a coach with a destination display running a shuttle service and I thought I was going to get to travel on the coach - only for a driver in a hi-vis jacket to turn up with an old knackered decker and to then take the coach away empty.

Have you travelled on it??
Despite its shabby appearance it’s probably one of the best buses in the fleet. Drives spot on, no rattles or Knocks. Has cracking heating on them chilly nights and best of all pulls really well uphill. I’d rather drive that over one of the green or white hybrids anyway.

Once the other Dart EU06KNR returns with its new engine fitted DK56 will be off for paint and the ‘branch’ livery applied. Will look spot on then.

Travelled on it a couple of times & I agree it did seem to pull well & the interior was generally half decent. Didn't know anymore buses were getting the white branches livery. Any reason why their not just being done up in the standard red & white?

Also of note is that tickets have MCT Travel printed in large at the top of each ticket then manchester community transport underneath. What's the story behind that.

The red and white livery with Mct logos is no more. It’s still the ‘local’ identity but HCT want a standard livery throughout its local groups. So the ‘branch’ livery is just that with local fleetnames. If you google Nottingham community transport you will see that some of their Enviros have the same livery.

Tickets is a similar thing. While it’s known as Mct and Manchester community transport both will appear on the tickets until the old Mct brand is phased out.

Considering the railway bridge in Woodford is closed or is going to be closed shortly for refurbishment what diversion route are 391/392s taking? Am I right in thinking their back on their old route going past the Garden Centre in both directions and if this is so surely they'll be missing a whole section of route out

At least it's not as bad as when the 88 service moved from a Vale Travel licence to a GHA and got branded 'GHA Gold' but the tickets (on brand new buses) had a large Taith logo at the top and the words Vale Travel printed them, instead of GHA.

Diversions everywhere at moment. 419, jammy lane is closed for 2 weeks and I got told there’s a pretty lengthy diversion on 18’s as well coming up.

From Cheshire East website:

Woodford Road, Poynton will be closed from the 5 July for six weeks to allow for essential maintenance to be carried out on the railway bridge. During this time services 391 and 392 will not be able to serve the area and will be diverted via the A555 and Dean Lane. Chester Road and Poynton Station will continue to be served. Passengers should be aware of possible delays to journeys.

Clarke Lane Bollington will be closed from 8 July for about 4 weeks to allow repair work to be carried out on the National Grid. In order to maintain a service to residents of Kerridge it has been agreed that a limited service will be permitted to operate along Clarke Lane during the closure. The journeys are 08:50 and 10:50 Stockport – Macclesfield journeys (09:58 and 11:58 from Kerridge) and 12:20 and 14:20 Macclesfield – Stockport (12:36 and 14:36 at Kerridge). All other journeys on service 391 will operate directly through Bollington.
