RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington
275 was out yesterday, probably that one! Lovely buses, feel very heavy and lean like a ship going round corners, but have extra light power steering to compensate- fast indeed when they get going! 275 being my fave out of Fairbrothers trio too!

RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington
Both 271 and 275 were out today, very nice to see them still earning their keep!

Drove 275 in service today. Very very smooth bus and plenty of power. Little bit jerky at times but overall looks and sounds fantastic!!!

From VOSA:

PC1017925/9 - FAIRBROTHERS LIMITED, 3 BRATHAY CL, WARRINGTON, WA2 9UY
Variation Accepted: Operating between Warrington Bus Station and Warrington Bus Station given service number 1C effective from 18-Dec-2012. To amend Timetable.

No such change to the 21h though.
I would have thought that if anything were to change it would be the withdrawal of the 21h!

Also, I heard that there's a branded PoundRider ALX400 with this company now.
I'm not currently in Warrington, so I haven't been able to verify this, but I'm sure it's not the kind of thing someone would make up :P

Yep, it is possibly getting converted to single door in the near future. More may also be on the way.

RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington
So would this/these be replacing the current double deckers, or the single-deckers that were bought specifically for these routes (and are as far as I can tell otherwise pretty useless to the company)?

RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington
Well when i visited the depot last sunday there was only 2 B6's there in poundrider 1 in Mcgills stuffed in corner
palatines N271CKB was on Private Hire
N275 CKB was parked next to a very sorry looking N277 CKB that looked in a bad state (I noticed the front set of seats downstairs had been removed and the bar between doors I wounder why)

also parked was a plaxton coach in blue and white
a L plate olympian (ex Fairway I am sure) and a F plate olympian that looked rebodied

HTH

0277 has a blown head gasket and is in the process of getting worked on.
