RE: Transport for Wales Rail
Arriving at Chester just after eleven this morning two coaches were parked up - British Blue K11BBT and Keane's SV09EGC. Returning at about 12.30 SV09EGC was where K11BBT had been, suggesting it had been used while K11BBT appeared to be being despatched in service. . But as far as I can see from RTT no trains were cancelled? |

Chester standbys normally cover all lines out of Chester plus, Borderlands and sometimes work out of Shrewsbury. Also not sure how long you were there but the driver may have gone for food or fuel. As long as the bus has a 10-15 min response time (depends who is on), they can go anywhere they want. |

RE: Transport for Wales Rail
It seems TfW Rail aren't running any Manchester to South Wales services this week, with everything starting/terminating at Crewe. There's no explanation on their website, other than a 'check before travel' advisory for the route. |

Services from South Wales to Crewe are running via Wrexham and Chester. There wouldn't be the paths or resources to run via Wrexham and Chester to Crewe, reverse and then head to Manchester nor run from Chester to Manchester via other routes. Great work by the brilliant TFW planning team though since they've made the last train from Crewe to Chester 3 hours early. Absolute donuts. |
