Just been announced that Dennis Waterman has died at the age of 74 this afternoon at a hospital in Spain. Coincidentally, I just happened to have watched an episode of Minder whilst at my uncles a few weeks ago. He was also known for his roles in The Sweeney and New Tricks. Edit: Andrew Symonds, former Australian cricketer has died at the age of 46, he had been involved in a car accident. |

According to a BBC article he was in the Dominican Republic at the time working on a movie. Edit: Now I've just seen that Depeche Mode keyboardist and founding member Andy Fletcher has died at the age of 60, lordy lord... RIP |

Alec John Such, a founding member of the band Bon Jovi and the bassist for the band from their forming in 1983 until 1994 has died at the age of 70. Edit: Shaun Greatbatch, the first darts player to hit a 9 dart finish on live television, which happened in the final of the 2002 Dutch Open, has died at the age of 52. |

Presumably to round off the end of the month, it was announced earlier this evening that Dame Deborah James has died aged 40 after a 6 year battle with bowel cancer, she had chosen to stop treatment earlier last month. RIP Edit: July Scotland and Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram has died of cancer at the age of 58 This may not really count as a celebrity, but it was doing the rounds on BBC and Twitter yesterday, YouTuber Technoblade has died at the age of 23, following a battle with sarcoma, in which he was diagnosed in August of last year. |

Actor James Caan, best known for his roles in The Godfather and Misery has died at the age of 82. Mona Hammond, who was best known for playing the character Blossom Jackson in Eastenders, as well as being a co-founder of the Talawa Theatre Company, has died at the age of 91. Kazuki Takahashi, the creator the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series has been found dead at sea, he was aged 60. Edit: Former Prime Minister of Japan (2006-07 — 2012-2020) Shinzo Abe has been assassinated, he was aged 67. It should be mentioned that gun crime is very rare in Japan owing to strict regulations on firearms there. Secondary edit: Tony Sirico, known for his role as "Paulie Walnuts" Gualtieri in the crime drama 'The Sopranos' has died at the age of 79. |
