RE: Merseyside Bus Review 2022
And some of the life stories of people affected by the 37 withdrawal/38 reduction were quite harrowing. Be interesting to see what action is taken on this. |

Surely Prenton Dell should be served by the 91 every day. That was the service that was provided into Birkenhead until Stagecoach won the tender, perhaps coincidence but perhaps Stagecoach's doing, the route got changed didn't it. That was surely the best link though to get people to Birkenhead. |

RE: Merseyside Bus Review 2022
Wasn’t sure where to ask this, but noticed today at St George’s Place there are new road markings. There is now a right turning lane which says “Buses Only” pointing to a road currently under construction through Lime Street, which - when complete - will allow buses to travel between Queen Square and Brownlow Hill (and vice versa) once again. Is the expectation now that routes from Brownlow Hill will return to finishing at Queen Square at some point in the future? |

That was surely the best link though to get people to Birkenhead. Before Avon Buses collapsed in 2018, Prenton Dell was served by two routes, the 83A and 91 (Avon commercially Mon-Fri and by A2B with Merseytravel Funding on Saturday). When Avon went bust, Arriva took on the 83A but it only lasted four weeks. As a compromise, the 418 was rerouted via Prenton Dell, but obviously getting to Birkenhead now involves going around the world. As the 91, it was re-tendered but with a different weekday route, possibly to replaced other withdrawn services. |

When the original contractor went bust last year, the council revised the plans and the new bus lane is part of this. Don't yet know whether the buses will use it yet |

Disappointing that still no timetables / route maps except 61 for St Helens even when the consultation window has now closed. |

Apparently it's the way Arriva are doing this. When I asked why there was more timetables available in other areas, I was told it was because Stagecoach do things differently. So apparently everything will be there from 1st August. |
