Would love to know how they are going to staff there new work ...if the X50 is running to the same timetable as now it will require 4 or 5 buses...the 150s will be at least 4 buses.....on stagecoach the 56s 156s are to operated by Hyde Rd from end of September

It’s suicide to take on work without the resources to run it. Rosso did it last year. Took on 23 additional schools for TFGM and pretty much struggled from day one. This is also a big factor as to why stagecoach wanted to walk away from these routes, they themselves not having the resources to run them. Every operator and depot is struggling and I can’t see it getting any better.

Chances are Rotala have enough vehicles to cover the increased PVR might be a sqeeze staff wise as I thought Rotala were short of staff at Bolton

Very short staffed. Been told they are using a lot of agency staff which would explain the drivers working in their civies.

RE: Greater Manchester Service Changes
MP Robert Largan has just announced that the 358 will continue to operate to its current timetable with Stagecoach. Apparently TFGM have also put pressure on High peak to restore the evening journeys on the airport on the 199 and also restore the 30 min frequency instead of the hourly. The issue here is High Peak are still critically short of drivers so not sure how they can commit to the extra work.

Is this confirmed about the 56/156. Would make more sense for Hyde Road to take on the 171/172 and do crew reliefs around Gorton. Are Middleton very short staffed (I know every depot is)

Middleton are desperate. Once upon a time they would take drivers from other depots during times of need but with every depot desperate they are struggling.

Yes route training on the 56/156 started 2 weeks ago

Not as big as originally planned though as most of the planned cuts are now not happening
