Had a Bus Day yesterday with my main focus being on Diamond Bus Bolton & Eccles Depots, The Buses i managed to tick off for Ride: Diamond Bus 33031 Diamond Bus 32301 Go North West 4007 Diamond Bus 20872 Go North West 6160 Diamond Bus 30975 Diamond Bus 40831 Diamond Bus 40711 Diamond Bus 32211 First Bolton 39243 Diamond Bus 33011 Diamond Bus 40704 Diamond Bus 40763 Diamond Bus 40739 First Bolton 39254 Diamond Bus 31407 Northern Rail 331022 While i am happy i managed to get 17 ride winners it was a shame to notice a number of Services dropped for reasons unknown (I suspect lack of Drivers) but hopefully reliability is better when i next get chance to do some Diamond Buses. Worst experiences of the day: 4544's turbo being absolutely horrible, let alone 3141 giving me a headache, 2644s engine clunking and the traffic on the 10 home on 4642 let alone driver who has very bad control with the braking. Yesterday I went on a mini-day out and here's what I got: 10 Connah's Quay to Shotton (CX15 BXU 4642) - I am certainly not a fan of these buses one bit, this was slow off the mark, sounded nice though! 10A Shotton to Chester (CX07 CTF 2644) - Heap! It was in limp mode, idle vibrations were terrible, engine decided to make some random clunking constantly and ready for the scrapheap! 4 Chester to Mynydd Isa (CX12 DSZ 3143) - This was one of the better buses Chester Depot have! This was very quick (under the 1st driver anyway) and got kickdown out of it a few times with a full kickdown on the Saltney 50 road! Today was an early White Christmas in Huyton & south Liverpool. For my train journeys between Heaton Chapel and Huyton I changed at Oxford Road but not Piccadilly, as today was the last day with a regular Heaton Chapel service beyond Piccadilly.
