507024 was the unit, it was a brake problem

Only one unit, operating on the Kirkby line, 777009 - with 777049 the reserve unit.
Also another attempt to get 777140 up to Kirkdale tomorrow night

I have read on other sites that there is no guarantee that the 777s will enter service on Monday and if any do it will only be one, possibly two units. Is it possible to track which units are operating and where they are on the system at any given time?

Unlike some operators, unfortunately Merseyrail don’t put allocations on real time trains, so they’re not trackable
