Toby Keith, a major country music star who sold tens of millions of records, has died at the age of 62.Keith rose to fame in the 1990s with songs such as Should've Been a Cowboy which topped the country music chart. He announced in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer, an illness the star said was "debilitating".

An absolute shock. Steve was a pioneer and giant of the airwaves. His legacy of honing the zoo format is so influential on radio shows today, especially breakfast shows.

I remember listening to him when he started at Radio 2 back in 1980 and seeing him at the Radio 1 roadshow that visited Southport Floral Hall Gardens in the early 80s. He was at one with his audience and had no airs and graces whatsoever. He was the quintessential showman. Ever a professional and mentor up until the end.

Robin Windsor, a former professional on Strictly Come Dancing, has died aged 44. He appeared on the BBC One show from 2010 until 2013, partnering with Patsy Kensit, Anita Dobson, Lisa Riley and Deborah Meaden.

Former Germany defender Andreas Brehme, who scored the winning goal in the 1990 World Cup final, has died aged 63. Brehme converted a late penalty in the final of the 1990 tournament to secure victory against Argentina in Rome. He earned 86 caps, including eight goals, for his country and won league titles while at Kaiserslautern, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Actor and comedian Ewen MacIntosh, best known for his role as Big Keith in The Office, has died aged 50.MacIntosh also appeared in other British comedies including Miranda and Little Britain. His most recent acting credit was in 2017 as as Lionel in British romantic comedy film Finding Fatimah.
