I've got caught in the rain last two days, some reason as soon as I enter Westfield Street on the 10 in St Helens it pours down, hope the trend doesn't continue!

By the back end of the week we are going to have the first icy blast of the year .

It is also forecast to be a cold winter between November and mid January with temperatures dipping to between -10 and -18 - not good considering the lack of a decent summer.

Long range weather forecasting is not always accurate , sometimes the weathermen cant get it right for the next day as Michael Fish knows to his peril.

Seems like the Eastern seeboard of the USA is getting a right pounding , this Halloween will be one to remember in and around New York.
When the storm does eventually leave there shores watch out for the remains of it crossing the Atlantic heading our way.

They said a few days ago that Hurricane Sandy would have no effect on us due to the direction it was taking, they have no idea either way! What happened to that week long Indian summer we were due in half term? Yes exactly!

I do know that the Lake District has had some snow over the last few days but only on the higher fells.
