Have the NK04 Z-- Merits always been with GNE? I hadn't travelled in one until today and I've noticed that the seats are red, compared to the 'Grafitti' moquette in the '04' Cadets. As well as this, there's only one buggy/wheelchair space in the Merits, compared to two in the Cadets.

Yes, they have always been with GNE. They were bought from dealer stock to replace the Scania L94's at Gateshead which went to Percy Main when the R19 first started.

It has been hinted here that route 10 was due to be double-decked. Buses has confirmed B9TLs on order for route 10. I wonder where the Citaros will go and what will be replaced as a result?

Indeed, with 3941 and 3942 at Winlaton as two spare TEN vehicles, together with the 13 new B9's, the Citaros are seemingly planned to displace B10BLE's at Sunderland Road for Crusader 27.
