RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
Really? Those Commanders on the same chassis with the same engine (though do they have a 3 speed gearbox on them?)? If you read my post again, you'll notice that their use on the 62 was a presumption on my own behalf and nothing more. Plans change frequently as we all know and if the Commanders were to transfer for the 62, that gives substance to Wrexham's remaining Pulsars moving over to Rhyl which was something else suggested recently. In addition to plans changing though, people also hear or interpret things incorrectly and then pass it off as gospel so in all honesty, probably best to just wait and see if it's just the solid end-product you want to know about! |

all the other eclipses are for the X94 Because the Commanders are suppose to be really bad underneath and suppose to be getting withdrawn from the X94 because the commanders are all being inspected by management atm.. but 2799 is in Wrexham for another reason..but as i said information not to be post.. |

RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
As far as I'm aware, 2799 is undergoing inspections before going off for refurbishment. Also mooted as being the designated spare bus (a role 2513 was meant to have taken up prior to X94 use) for the Saphire service 1 so potentially a higher standard refurbishment than usual? If that's all it is LJ51, I'm not quite sure why all the secrecy. If not, there's really very little point posting just to state that there's something else hapenning but it's too secret for you to reveal. You'd be better refraining from actually posting that there's something else until you're able to post exactly what it is. |

actually i can post what i like, i posted it that is was there because no one else knew someone asked if it was branded and what it was for i told them info they needed but the rest i keep concealed, so yeah id rather have information thats not spread onto this forum...because quite frankly its pretty sh*te anyway, Moderator or not i really dont care.. RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
Indeed you can post what you like, within the forum guidelines, LJ51. However, to me and I'm sure other members, it comes across poorly when people are posting to the extent of 'I know something but I'm not telling'. Merely a suggestion on my behalf above that if you don't want information getting out or wish to keep it 'concealed' that you don't even bother alluding to it because all that does is cause speculation or for someone aware of the information to post it instead. To be quite frank, you could have simply stated that there was no branding on the vehicle and left it at that, all the 'but there's something else I'm not going to say' does become quite tiresome to read. But anyway, let's not derail the thread any further - my pm inbox is always free for your use LJ51. |

RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
Is it just me becoming increasingly annoyed at service 1? When I see an MPD on there, it annoys the sh*t out of me knowing how a 29 seater MPD, on a 12 minute frequency can sometimes be justified during the day, and then they're sending some of the best double deckers in the fleet and refurbishing them to an incredible standard. I had 861 on there the other day, and it had enough room for everyone to have spare seat next to them the whole trip, and it was late! The X1 Between Liverpool and Runcorn doesn't even have wifi! :l The saphire concept would have worked much better on a route like the 47/48/A where the bus was atleast in competition with an operator, such as one using coach seats on a long distance service (2X2) |

Route 1 does justify deckers from my experience, but not a 'Sapphire standard' service. Normal deckers would have been sufficient, perhaps a way to try to see off any Stagecoach competition, First never had a go, but Stagecoach might! Wrexham Transport (Flickr) |
