Displaying a service-number not advertised anywhere on their promotions (therefore unrecognisable to their passengers/potential passengers), apparent late-running due to timetable issues (even though they had many trial runs - this should have been avoided?), using a non-advertised vehicle on the first day (which, according to somebody's photos on Flickr, actually performed worse on the motorway - and it isn't an advertised "Merc") and having the promoted "Mercs" running around without any sort of promotion on them at all (no company names or even destinations!)... As much as I admire ClassicBus' ambitions and hope that their RedRocket service succeeds, I really do think that they performed below their usual standards yesterday and hope that things (the above mentioned things, especially) start to improve.

Reported on another group on Friday night:

Noted what I assume to be the 1630 ex Manchester service whilst I was heading back up the M61, I passed BL52 ODK sitting in the first two lanes with its four way flashers on.

Is this service actually carrying anyone?

Interesting working saw Classicbus R899XVM working 18:20 Trafford Center-Blackpool Red Rocket service last night, apparently it was out on Red Rocket for most of the day as a friend of mine from Stagecoach Manchester saw it in Manchester earlier in the afternoon
